Student Health on Haven offers routine gynecological exams, treatment for gynecologic problems, contraceptive/pregnancy counseling, sexually transmitted infection (STI) education/evaluation, and self-care advice.

Getting Birth Control at Student Health on Haven
Student Health on Haven can provide counseling and prescriptions for a range of contraception options. If you have not received a prescription for birth control from us before, or if you would like to start on birth control, please schedule an appointment with one of the clinicians to review your options. We recommend you have gynecological exams every 3-5 years depending on age. If possible, please get a copy of the results of your last exam to have on your Student Health record. all of our clinicians are experienced in women's health and will be happy to see you for your routine gynecologic exams/pap smears as needed.
Intrauterine Device (IUD) Insertions/Removals and Nexplanon Insertions/Removals at Student Health on Haven
Student Health offers intrauterine device (IUD) insertions and removals onsite. Please schedule an appointment with one of our clinicians to discuss the options available. If you have the Aetna Student Health insurance, most IUDs are available onsite and there is no charge to you for this service. If you have outside insurance, we are often able to order the IUD to be delivered to us and can place them here at Student Health.
Student Health on Haven offers Nexplanon insertions and removals onsite. If you have the Aetna Student Health insurance, we have the Nexplanon onsite and can place it for you at no extra charge to you. If you have outside insurance we can give you a referral for placement. We can remove Nexplanon devices regardless of insurance here at Student Health. Please schedule an appointment with one of our clinicians to discuss options.
